Well had a bad day today. we hooked 11 and only landed 6. The fishing is awesome. Still using bobber and roe. They are biting like trout, hardly even making your bobber move at all. The biggest fish today was 21 pounds. All 6 fish over 14 lbs and very bright. Good luck all, and hit them hard while taking a kid fishing. steve

Glo-A-Bou,

I am planning a trip to the Umatilla tomorrow. Can you give some info on where to fish? Is it better up river by you or are they spread out throughout the system? Have you bounced any eggs or are you just using eggs under a bobber. What is the river like. Are there lots of nice deep holes? Lot's of rocks etc. I aprreciate any info you can give me.

The fish are spread through the entire system. I personally like fishing the upper river where it is a challenge to catch fish. You can catch the fish by drifting with or without a bobber, and spinners are working to. Behind Taco Time in Pendleton is a very good hole, in Pendleton. The river is a shallow with a few deep holes. 2600+ fish in the system now. 1100 in 11 days came in. It is stacked. good luck, i am taking my brother out this evening. Have to go, good luck and i am sorry i can not be much more help at this time. Steve
