If you lost a rod and reel today along hwy 106 at the magnificent Skokomish River ( I wasn't fishing, just watching some of the show!) and can describe what I picked up on the fog line, I will get it back to you. Looks like someone leaned it against their car and drove off. Decent rig, P.M me.

You found it!

It's a white 5' spinning rod. Looks like a pool cue and is a great stick for tuna! On it was a PENN spinning reel with 100lb. braided line and on the end of the line was a 5/0 trebble hook with some pencil lead wrapped about the shank of the hook.

PS. If you find a yellow step ladder out there, please let me know......

Ha! Ha! Gonna be hard for elitists to look down their nose at me, when I'm standing atop your 10 foot step ladder, and "fishing" a treble hook that was handcrafted from a coat hanger. Thanx...

I recognized that, but a real fisherman always exaggerates...

I failed to mention the ladder only because I can use it around the house. I played a round of golf today and used the pole as a driver on the par 5's and long par 4's. The reel came in handy when the suspension on the cart went bad and made for a quick field repair with the bail. Buddy slipped on a pile of goose sh%t and broke his leg so the braid came in handy when splinting the leg with the pole. I finished with a 3 wood as the makeshift driver was in use.

In any case the found rod and reel are actually pretty nice, brand new in fact. I will put it on the rack and wait.

Good for you for posting this Roy. Hope someone claims it and the Fish Gods reward you for being honest.



PS. If it's a green Sage 290 and a Shimano Curado or Revo reel, it's mine.

Thanks, if no one comes forward to identify it after a year or so I will donate it to youth fishing. I found one a couple years back and no one ever spoke up for it ( had a friend post it up for me on here). Started figuring I would donate it somewhere. Just over a year later I ran into a dude in town while towing the drift boat and we started talking about fishing. He starts telling me about a rod and reel he had lost over a year before.........it was his stuff I had picked up! Dude identified it right down to the friggin bait that was hanging off it. Left it leaning on a log and drove away. Figured out it was missing about 2 hours later. Met him the next day and gave it back and he was a happy camper!
