My father is on the downhill side of altheizemers, and I feel your pain. I'm very sorry for your loss.I'll bet you have some great memories of fish landed, and fish lost, with your father.

Steve,
I lost both of my parents about 4-5 years ago. The emptiness never went away but the feeling of responsibility commensurate with their loss has left me with a new sense of maturity. Hang in there and keep growing. You're da man now! - Plunk

Glo-A-Bou!,
My deepest sympathies on the passing of your Dad. Be brave and pray, it may not seem like it today but he has moved on to a better place.
God bless, Jeff

Really wierd how things like this come full circle. Dad went in to the hospital on Saturday night with chest pains. He's going through double bypass right now down in Louisiana. Will know in about 8 hours how it all turns out. Life is too short. Enjoy every breath you take.

Hawk, hope everything is alright with your dad. Mine had a stroke a few years ago so I know how these past few hours could be hell. Anyway I'm hopeing for a rapid recovery.

Glo,
My dad is still alive, but my 18 year old son was killed in a car wreck in january of 98.He was just starting college on a Baseball Scholarship and he loved to fish.I still have his favorite fishing pole with the last lure he tied on it out in my shop in a very special place.I am at peace with his passing.I promised I would never second guess GOD and I don't.I fondly remember him everytime I am on the water and it seems to make every trip just a little more special. Best wishes from me to you and your family and thank you for sharing with us your pain because we all have or will have to go through it sometime.Peace, lester

Although we have never spoken before my prayers are with you and your family. I lost my mother just a year ago. Time eases the pain but I still miss her with all my heart.

Peace be with you my friend.
