a friend of mine posted a pic a couple days ago of a F-16 model, and i "got that bug" from when i was younger... all models i have done are all plastic 1/8 1/12 scale ect, just your glue together, paint ect...

we were going to Seattle and missed a bus by 30 seconds so we went to the thrift store there in Fed Way, and low and behold, i see this model, a Japanese Zero all balsa, gas/UC or rubber band and it was 5 bucks... circa 1960s,






so i started workin on it tonight, and got this far...



its one of the ones you have to frame together and lay the cloth sheets on it... figured 5 bucks what the hell...


FYI, dont use a fvckin medical scalpel as a Xacto knife, your fingers will look like you stuck them in a stump grinder...

Those are really fun. I have done a B-17 and a couple of B-25s. The first 25 I put a couple of .049s on it and tried to fly it control-line. I made approximately a 270 degree loop.

Second one i put together is just to look at..................

I have a couple more to build. Someday.

Looking at the bright side, "Aeronautical Engineer" sounds great on a resume.
