Gorgeous. That Damascus .45 sure is purdy.

I've been checking these out tonight.

MOA Rifles

The Extreme Summit at 5 lbs. 6 oz would be a thumper in the .300 Winny. Fully loaded = $10,000. A feller can dream...

Those MOA's are sweet rifles....5 and a half pounds is crazy light.

There are a lot of nice 1911's out there.
A guy doesn't want to die without owning a 1911.
Wilson does a nice job with the 1911...

I like 'em understated.

I want my 1911's to be original. None of that fancy-schmancy crap for this guy! I want to know that some brass-balled, brave as frack, US Soldier cold-cocked the enemy across the back of the head in a previous war with the 1911's I own!

I own 2.5 1911's. All are bastardized to some degree and the .5 is just the receiver as the top half died. At this point, I think the blood of our enemies has been cleaned out of these 1911's - and probably degraded their value.

As for lightweight rifles, check out my new Kimber Mountain Ascent in .300 Win Mag. She's light. Really damn light. 5lbs. 10 ounces. Not including scope and mount.

She's got a Leupold VX-6 4-24x52 sitting on her.

All great rifles and pistols.

If you are serious about a long range shooter look at RBros.
The guy is a friend and lives in the Elma area.

His guns are second to none at accuracy.

Paker - that Kimber is the EXACT rifle I've been after for some time. Glad to see you brought one home! If you ever want to get it out to the range or mountains to shoot, let me know. I'd love to check it out and maybe take it for a spin (seriously). Have you patterned any ammo yet? If so, which flavors have worked best so far?

Thanks WDFW for sharing R Bros. I checked out their site and they make some serious toys. A local company too! I saw they have a lightweight long range hunter in .338 RUM. Um...no thanks...I like my shoulder where it is. I may just have to visit their shop one day and take a closer look.

I still have a Weatherby .308 that I need to finish up customizing over the next couple of months. Once it's done and dialed, I'll need a new toy to focus on. Saving my pennies now...

Has anyone seen those Kimber's that are called sapphire, they are the gawd awful ugly. I'm not a fan of gaudy looking guns. I happen to think Glock's are beautiful. smile

A good bunch of Spaghetti Slingers have hit the US market and I couldn't resist. (Beretta 92S police trade-ins $279 - $350)
I never thought I'd own a Whop Automatic, but after handling it, they are truly one of the great pistols.
Hot rod parts readily available, too.
There are some crooks on Gunbroker selling these but there are a couple of other places off the grid that still have some nice ones.
PM me if interested on the low down.

Is that the mag release above the trigger? What would a new barrel cost for that gun? Is your barrel in good condition.

That's the slide stop lever.
To the left of that is the take-down lever.
Fast, easy take-down

Up on the slide is the combination safety-decock lever.
Mag release is at the heel of the grip.

My barrel looks like a former cop's gun....hardly shot.
Replacement barrels run $90 - $130 and come with a new locking block, typically.

Here's the hot-rodded "Brig Tac" from Wilson...

That's actually a fair price by the time you add everything up.

Heavy Duty Brigadier slide
Checkered A1 frame
etc etc etc

That mag release is in a strange place, seems you have to use two hands to get to it. How does it shoot? Your right about Cop guns don't get much use. Many Cops are not gun nuts like us, and only shoot enough to stay current to job requirements.
