I fished the Kalama River briefly on Monday afternoon (9/18), near the boat launch under the Modrow Bridge. I absent-mindly left my fishing vest somewhere near the launch. I checked back early Wednesday morning, but it was gone. If anyone picked up a fishing vest on the Kalama Rv, please send me a private message. I'll come get it, no questions asked.

It has my fishing license in the upper vest pocket, so I can verify the identification.

Thanks.

Happy ending.

I got a note in the mail with my fishing license. Another angler (Mike from Kalama) found my vest so he sent me my fishing license and his phone number. I called him, and then went to his house to retrieve the vest.

Thanks Mike. And good karma in the future.

Awesome news. I left my vest on the Toutle once. Replacing all the random gear really adds up.

I'm heading to the Kalama this weekend. How is the fishing?

Thanks.

The fishing on the Kalama Rv is not good. WDFW phased out the early run coho, so there's no coho yet.

The Modrow trap is taking out all the Chinook just below the bridge. Access downstream of the trap is not great, but if you go, try dowstream of I-5. The tidewater area might hold some fish.

The late coho haven't shown up but they don't usually until mid October, at the earliest.
