Nice! The press release states that the clam population has "increased significantly" compared to last year (except at Long Beach). Time to patch up the leaky boots and get the Cat lights charged up!

All the October dates look like CAT-light tides.

This is the one... https://www.amazon.com/CAT-324122-Rechar...57485&psc=1Last year Costco had 'em for $29.99 when I bought four. Seems like they're at least double that anywhere you look today.

First razor clam dig of season set for Oct. 11-13 OLYMPIA – The first razor clam dig of the fall season will get underway Oct. 11-13 at various ocean beaches. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has approved the dig on evening tides at Twin Harbors, Copalis, and Mocrocks after marine toxin tests showed that clams on those beaches are safe to eat. No digging will be allowed on any beach before noon.
The upcoming dig is approved on the following beaches, dates, and evening low tides:
• Oct. 11, Thursday, 8:58 p.m.; -0.6 feet; Twin Harbors, Mocrocks • Oct. 12, Friday, 9:41 p.m.; -0.3 feet; Twin Harbors, Copalis • Oct. 13, Saturday, 10:26 p.m.; +0.1 feet; Twin Harbors, Mocrocks
It will be dark...….Good luck!!!!!

Took advantage of the last two nights on the north beaches. Slam dunk limits with Team yelloweye from our mutually chosen patch of sand.... high and dry, no pounding required!
