Yes its all due to printing paper money and bitcoin not backed by the silver or gold standard.
I wouldn't panic yet even though the stock market lost 3% today.
The Fed is raising interest rates a little too fast. Bond market yields are up over 3% on 10 year Tresury notes.
I sounded the alarm yesterday and the Dow is down 830 points and NASDAQ like 315 points and Tech Stocks took a beating.

At the end of this the Federal Reserve and central banks around the world will not be the same as they are today we are going to end up with a new cash/crypto currency system. There will no longer be a debt based system after this is over.
Ultimately all currency crypto and government will be commodity backed when this settles down.
I am sure ultimately there will be some kind of domestic/commercial credit system but it will not resemble what we have today.... The time of free money is over, the time of credit cards is over.
If the market dumps big today expect things to be different Monday, I would get to the bank and pull out some cash. Cash will be king for a while.

The market was very high, it burped, it always does. Idiots panic, yawn, get your cash and wave "the end is near sign". Market will come back, it always does. You only lose if you pull out. Or you can stay in longer and enjoy the bumpy ride....kind of like your prom night.

Yep, I king Crab fished from 80' to 84' back when the crabs were a lot bigger. I've been 300 miles from Siberia and up to the pribilof islands for the Blue Crab fishery. These blue crabs are larger than the RedKing Crabs. When they come to the boat they are a beautiful iridescent blue. Lucky to be alive, dragging both anchors against 80 knot winds and 40' waves....wouldn't change anything about those years. I also fished two seasons for Salmon in Bristol bay. The sea will change and humble you.

I have never done crabbing, but I did read the great book Highliners by William McCloskey and after reading it I thought it would be reasonable for crab to sell for $100 per pound! Tough, tough life.

it lost 89 today off 380+ futures the night before. Futures are positive for now see what happens tomorrow, but being negative today is not a good sign. It could take some time for the markets to find their bottoms but I think we went over the peak, and its downhill for quite sometime from here. The bubbles are enormous and venerable and a bear market on a long run will make them pop. Housing has already started to pop as well as sub prime auto loans. it lost 89 on Monday but back up 547 on Tuesday.

Every big crash happens over an extended period of time, it takes time for a crash to be orderly, an up day here and there and then a string of big sell off days, repeat cycle until you hit bottom.
DOW -435 right now after loosing 100+ yesterday and 391 on Friday.
