I tried trolling kwikfish (15) for the first time today... got a lot of weeds... was fishing in about 12 - 18 feet of water. How deep do these things go? maybe i was trolling to fast? I was trolling at about a walking pace.

They will only dive 5 or 6 feet on thier own. If you want to fish deeper than that you need to use a jet diver or a lead ball, both on a dropper of about 10 inches. as far as speed you should be going the same speed or slightly slower that the river current you are in. meaning you will be holding in one spot in the river or barely going downstream.

Use a longer dropper. The plug dives down and if the dropper isnt long enough, youll be dragging bottom. Keep a eye on the rod tip to make sure its getting the proper action. Also, in water with alot of floating weeds, k-fish with those treb hooks will be like a magnet to weeds.
