I've looked at the price of gold over the last year and it doesn't make sense to me to buy it now.

You DO realize that when the end of the world, civizilation and government collapses (as you keep predicting), all you are going to own in "gold" is a mineral/rock.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Unless you can throw gold bullions at 3800 fps, the smart long term play is in bulk lead acquisitions. Preferably the kind that comes pre-wrapped in a nice copper.

I own stock in a company that invests in gold. Portfolio has taken a beating overall. I have gold and silver. The stock is more liquid. I moved out of stocks in my 401K.

Everybody will try and pile into Gold/silver all at once when it happens, the paper markets are still pinning it down for now.

I have no 401K or pension, cashed everything out in 2012. I have no liabilities....

I hope you like eating rocks, and don't become even more of a Socialist leech when you find out you can't eat them.
