Anyone have any rentals options for W WA rivers out there. I'm talking real McCoy businesses here, not billy bob's inner-tube rentals ..ok...?!
And yes before the 'overly bored/under worked' or the 'expert sportsmen' contingent chimes in, please read the dang thread in full Yeah I fully understand there is a lack of river boat rentals out there in W WA for river fishing.

I am in search of a 2 person river craft for rent.

I am already well and fully aware of the insurance liability of renting river craft in W WA.

Just a short "Yes over there @ such and such still rents pontoons", would suffice"

Got a good ol' bud coming into town from Colorado. He wants large river fish, not trout on the Yakima.
I sold the old 1 man cataraft last year. Trying to figure out a plan to get our hands on a river craft.
Oly Pen is our go to plan. We will probably end up bankie style.
but maybe someone out there will save the day with some pertinent rental info?

Lofty,

Swiftwater in the Shoreline area rents rafts and gear suitable for lengthy whitewater expiditions. I think they can supply what you need. A 12' raft will carry 3 guys, one rowing and two fishing.

Sincerely,

Another vote for Swiftwater.

http://www.swiftwatersports.com/

For what it will cost you though, you might try to get someone here to rent his driftboat to you for a couple of days?

Lofty,
Third vote for Swiftwater. Dana is the owner and he's a good guy to deal with.
I would say the only downside to renting a raft is the set-up / breakdown time required before and after fishing (inflating, put frame together, put frame on, strap frame down etc) unless you have a trailer, which I don't think Dana rents.
You'll also want an anchor for fishing the OP rivers effectively. You'd have to check with Dana to see if rents rafts with anchor systems.
After typing this, now I know why my raft is always inflated on the trailer ready to fish.
Have fun on your trip,
Brian
