Nice Weather and Friendship Day on the Sky

I was lazing away with the Everett Herald and my third cup of coffee when my phone rang well after 9AM this morning.
I was seriously thinking about going back to sleep, but answered the phone to hear a much livelier voice than mine answer in a booming, "Hey this is Dave Lane (Seastrike), Sue and I are going to fish the Sky this afternoon, do you want to join us."
Since Mama Wilson did not raise any dumb kids, even if they are late sleepers, I said yes, my gear is all ready to go, I rustled us hotcakes and bacon for the Wilson household and was ready to go out the door when Seastrike called to say said we are putting in at Ben Howard, I'll meet you at Lewis Street so my rig will be there at the end of the day.
Getting back to the Ben Howard in my rig, we were soon on the water.
Soon the weather broke and it was off with the sweaters and jackets time on the Sky.
It turned out to be more of a fishing day for us, going 0 for 2, while some other folks did better, but it was a very pleasant day on the Sky.
I'm glad I went and spent several hours with good friends while enjoying a day on the water.
Here's a photographic weather report.

Was it a little lonely with no fish?

Hit it today also. We ended up 3-5, 1 chum, 1 tomato, and a solid 15lbs chromer.
I generally try to avoid fishing on weekends if I can help it so its been awhile since I've been out on a Sunday, but man there are a lot of guides working the Sky these days. I think easily 2/3 of the boats I saw out today had guide markings on the side.

DD,
You must have a camp up the river on the dry side.
Yep. Had a little rain on Friday night and Saturday was a perfect Fall day with a high of 68. Today was cloudy in camp with heavy rain awaiting me in Cascade Locks westward.
