I will be in South Beach February 13th-16th, any suggestions on what and where to fish...Never been there before.

The Bikini Hatch peaks a little later in the year, but there should be some rising during that timeframe.

There are a lot of different patterns one can try to get a bite during the bikini hatch. To each his own...

In all seriouslness, you can beach fish down there using bait and a sinker to catch whatever bites. Other than that you'll probably need to drive quite a ways or pay to get out on a boat for bigger game.

You can bring a casting setup and fish the canals and lagoons for snook. Any setup that can huck a casting plug as far as possible will do the trick with a 12-15# mainline.

Biscayne bay right in front of south beach.....deepwater tarpon fishing .....Game on brother !!!!

My wife will be with me so here is my checklist.

-Casting gear
-Various set ups
-Darkest shade of sun glasses I can find

May as well have some dark sides put on those sunglasses for protection from the wife seeing your wondering eye's from side to side,just sayin....................Let's be smart about this.Wouldn't want your trip wrecked cause your being a normal dude.Good luck,

As others mentioned, lots of nice things to look at in So. Beach.
Other nice things to look at would be permit and bones in Biscayne Bay.
Both would likely require a guide, which aren't cheap in Florida.

Go to a Miami Heat bball game. According to Lebron you can watch them win not 1, not 2, not 3,..... but, 8 championships.

Or, just go fishing and have a kick azz time.
