I recently purchased my first boat and it came with Canon electric down riggers. I am converting to Scotty electrics. My question is can I just cut the canon plugs off the power supply cord and put on Scotty plugs? Do the canon plugs disassemble?

Yes you can cut and replace. Not sure if the cannons come apart. Wise move going to the scottys.

Marineco (or their supplier) makes the plugs/sockets for Scotty so if you find a place that sells them(LFS bellingham), they're much cheaper than the scotty's and identical.
