They make extra tips for replacements before the d/c a rod. Just call them. They might have 10 waiting in the factory. I broke a tip on a long d/c rod a few years ago and had the replacement in less than an hour (I was fishing near by).

they were able to build one for my dad's S90MC-T esprit a couple years back, i'm sure they could put one together for your certified pro. they haven't made that esprit in 10+ years now.

R n S, I just recently broke and out of production Lamiglas rod. My fault also, but gave them a call to see what could be done. They said send it down and we'll see if we can help, so I sent the whole rod down. Got a phone call from them and they said they had a tip section, but it had to be clear coated then wrapped, so it might be a week to 10 days. I said great!!!, after all it is salmon season and I had another one just like it to fish Grays Harbor this past weekend. So no worries, they said we'll get it out ASAP when its done. I've been pretty happy with their service, and communications, as they are pretty receptive to honesty on our part, as not all rods are broken on a fish of a lifetime!!! Plus, as avid fishermen we have at least 2 of everything right!!! So patience, on our part helps!!! But I'm sure there are cases that a rod series will finally become extinct, but it'll give us an excuse to buy a new one!!! Winterun

I did the same as Winterun. Busted the tip off my G1324-T in my car door. I've had that rod for almost 10 years. Caught alot of fish with it. I took it into their factory store. They rebuilt a new top section for $40. However, the new top section broke on it's first trip, on the first hookset. I took it back. They said they could build a new top section, but it might break again. So they offered me a new Redline rod (9' 4") as a replace-ment. No charge. I got it two months later. I'm still trying it out, but it's a sweet rod that is perfect for coho and steelhead.
Wonderful customer service! That's why I have a garage full of Lamiglass rods.

Yep, betcha they can fix you up.
I use a Certified Pro that is 9'-6" and 6-10. It's the perfect spinner launcher although I'm out-gunned when Mr. Big jumps on. Fun times, though.
It was taken out of finished rod production because of too much breakage...the ham-handed are to blame, IMO. I noticed that they still make runs of the blanks for builders. Might be the same deal for yours.

DD: i heard that too, those rods have a cult following, and lami knows it(the used trade ins always go for higher prices down at their outlet than the run of the mill 96JCs that are a dime a dozen). it's the same blank as the X96LS.
too bad the 8'6" version isn't even available as a blank any more, i like a shorter rod for light tackle in some of the smaller rivers.
