I had a chance to get eyeFISH, Canyonman and RobbieG out for a day on the Columbia. It was good but we worked hard for what we caught. It was worth it! fp

Dang, forgot that byFISH. There will not be any hangbacks used on the ol'guys old Willieboat.
fp
Honest to God... nuthin' but old school ol'duffer's fish-killin' herring rigs the next time I climb aboard the ol'guys Willie. Oh yeah.... and NO BANANAS, either! .... Funny how them new-fangled hangbacks worked just fine as we ate a 6-pack of bananas in a young buck's boat the next day. Or mebbe the hangbacks are impotent without the synergy of bananas on board? Or mebbe the hangback banana magic only works on NON-Medicare boats? Who really knows.... coulda just as well been the captain's white Grundens? With enough 'sperimentin' as the board's newest up and coming boat 'ho, I might finally fig'r'it out?

Well for the first time in many moons, I tied up a handful of NON-hangback herring leaders. Worse yet, I even rolled a third hook into the mix. J F C Oh Father forgive me for I have sinned. While my hosts may have been blissfully unaware, I was fully cognizant of the repercussions of my misdeeds... and chose to proceed willfully anyway. Have mercy on me and my crew for the rest of the salmon season. I pray for their safety and the promise of an overflowing fishbox with each trip as I pledge never to repeat this offense. Amen. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . BURP!

Any day you can get back in that saddle with your hand on the tiller is a GOOD day on the krik.
