Dudes.. I ain't the kind of guy who gets sick often. Been years since I have even caught a cold.. Tell you what I am one sick puppy. Got a puke thing going on that tastes like lime juice and feel like I can't even get out of bed. I either have food poisoning or cancer ?? either way.. holy crap I feel bad... I mean go to the doctor bad ??

Got the same thing this last saturday. Unfortunately I was about an hour into a drift on the duc from the hatchery to Maxfield. Toughed it out and kept fishing. Worse part was that when we got to maxfield the truck was not there and was stuck fo another 1 1/2 waiting for truck to be located and brought to us. They say there are no bad fishing days. This came close.

I had that right before xmas.... both ends.
It's definatley going around, all across the country.

Advice from Dr. Parker:

If you are experiencing aches/pain/feever with your vomiting, more than likely you have the flu. Even if you got a flu shot, you can still get the flu. Get plenty of rest, and keep yourself hydrated when possible. Not much a doctor can do for you. At best they can poke you full of IV's (ouch), or maybe prescribe to you an anti-nausea medication.

If you are just puking and excreting fluids out of both ends, odds are you have a rotovirus. Aka, norwalk, or one of those nasties. You won't have the fever, aches, and pain associated with this. Nothing you can really do there except puke and keep yourself hydrated. As Neal pointed out, it's ugly. Most parents with kids will get to experience this joy.

Or, as you put it, if ou caught some nasty from unclean food, food handling, etc. Much like a rotovirus, you'll expell from all ends until the body is satisfied. Keep yourself hydrated and enjoy the couple days of nausea, fatigue, etc.

Lastly, congratulations on being pregnant. Ok, that's probably not it.....

I just got a flu shot a few days ago.. why ?? because it was free ??

I always thought "flu" was a catch all for " I feel like crap " This might be the real deal.. Kinda like bed spins without the 5th of C.C or whatever.

Well there ya have it! you got the flu from the flu shot. Has happened to me, and it was once one of thew worst colds I ever got.

Ditto. The sickest I've ever been in my life was from a flu shot. Never again.

My wife & daughter got that right after Xmas. I was smart and quarantined myself on the ski slopes.

If he's puking its not the flu, my guess is Norwalk virus, seems to be going around, I did my time before Xmas.

That Norwalk virus is NASTY. You get it from swallowing stool-contaminated food or water...

That is just bad-for-business...

Got my dose on 1/4/07. Just getting rid of the hack that hangs on for a while.

It's still going around I hear and it is one nasty beast. The doc has me on a med that weakens my immune system so something like this could really do me in. Crossing my fingers. I did hear that mostly it's the kiss a$$es who are getting it so I may be immune......

Oh boy, the boat show and sportsman show...ummm great breeding grounds for ur. Now I will feel like I'm walking into to two giant petri dishes......

This reminds me of the time in the mid 70's when I sat where the diesel was blowing into my face as we crossed the Westport bar on a particularly nasty day. Only time I've ever been seasick. Should I go into detail about that long day?

Nuthing you can tell me about puking at Westport. I'm all about puking at Westport.. Nothing that can help it just is what it is. I wonder if I should just start puking earlier
