I want to put rod holders on the sides of my 14' lund but I dont want to drill holes in my boat in suggestions?

Scotty makes (or used to make) a rod holder mount that fits into the oarlock.

Clamp mounts....

I thought I could find a clamp mount but Joes and 3 rivers didnt seem to have what I thought I needed

Try boaters world. They have a rod holder that has clamp mounts. I have them. Can't remember what they are called....

Scotty makes a Power Lock Rod Holder (#249) clamp mount that I purchased for my little 14' boat. One way to avoid dirlling holes, but look at your gunnel before you look at the clamp to make sure it will mount as expected. It works best the transom of my Smokercraft because there is no lip to fit over like on the gunnel. (it's a little tippy on the gunnel - not what I expected)

The oar lock mount is part number 248 and will be my next investment as it will fit better on the gunnel wall than my Power lock rod holder.

Both of these will take all the scotty rod holders, cup holders anchor lock, fender rigs etc. - no I don't work for Scotty

Good luck - call Scotty with questions at 800-214-0141. John's Sporting Goods in Everett on Broadway carries the clamp mount last I looked. I ended up buying mine at REI with the fly rod holder with a gift certificuit.

Just sit on the butt of your rod,don't forget about it and stand up with out grabbing the rod first.Good luck,

EBAY, has all kinds of them for sale.

I checked out the Scotty website and it looks like the oarlock variety would be the best best for the side of my boat. I may also get a pair of the clamp mounts for the rear of my boat.
