Hi, I'm going to have some marabou salmon jig's tied up for me and I need help with what color's they should be. What are some HOT color's that you guy's like to use for river salmon? Also is 1/4oz jig's the right size for salmon? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank's, Dale (SalmonBuster)

I like 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz, any color as long as it is pink/cerise. That is for cohos, and I guess chums.

Pink head, blue collar, cerise body. That one is my standby.

1/4-3/8 oz

I like the colors mentioned above, and would recommend a chartreuse body, orange head pattern as well.

Use them with and without the float.

Ya, What he said.

Almost any shade of pink or red will do the trick as will chartruse and green, but you absolutely can't go skimpy on the hooks. You'll be a very angry jig fishermen if you do.

Here are a couple examples of stuff I started trying late last year. Kind of a jig & hoochie combo. The rubber tentacles give a lot of movement when fished under a float. They worked well twitched without a float.
It was to late to try these for silvers last year, but the chumlies really liked them. I'll give them a whirl on silvers this year.
My camera sucks on macro mode. The tentacles on these are cerise.
