Anglers and salmon lovers beware: Some of the state's most prized native fish could disappear by century's end, according to a new report by the advocacy group California Trout.

Without a renewed effort to restore ailing waterways, nearly two-thirds of the state's salmon, steelhead and trout species will go extinct within the next 50 to 100 years, said University of California, Davis biologist Peter Moyle.
