I am sorry I do not know how to simplify this, but if you go to:

and go to page 10 there are 3 options for the spring chinook season on the Columbia. All three have days below and above Hayden Is.
Who knows what will finally be it. All three are better than nothing. March 1 may be a little early, however. See all of you there!!! Also Friday in Olympia.

It does not work. It did not go as I wrote it. Leave off the url on the second address. That might work.

The season should start March 15th and end for evaluation April 30th.If the run forecast is stronger then reopen,if not keep it shut.Fish are caught the 1st -15th but not many.I'd rather hit'em on the back side of the season. They always seem to shut it down while it's getting good and that sucks.Good luck,

Thanks, Wabowhunter. That's a lot better than my typing it out.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get 6 days a week from Wed-Sat in Option 2. Do you think it should be 4 instead of 6 or is it from Mon-Sat.?
My guess would be 4. I like Option 3 the least; too early below Hayden and not enough of the week (2 days) above Hayden. Option 3 does go into May, however.

Option 2 above: corrected today at the commissioners' meeting. It is 6 days, Wed-Mon. above Hayden Is. No recreational fishing on Tuesday.

No word on which option it will be, if any.

I agree. Ive talked to people on three different sites about this issue. March is toooooo early. The idaho and eastern washington guys rarely get a season. Supposedly, 25% of the run is suppose to be there for those guys. Perhaps its the bait for the 15 dollar stamp.

Anyway, it will take a lot of letters and we only have a couple weeks to get it done. Whatever plan they end up with, you guys should pick a date in late march or early april to lobby the folks who determine the season.
