High water, heavy gear, big bait, sliding kwiks, pounds of lead, campfires, booze, Magic dragon, Beer, tarps and good friends.
Blown out rivers can be a good thing!
Anyone else thinking the same?

A bright colored jig tipped with shrimp fished tight to the bank works well too. Just sayin. wink

I love this time of year, the steelies are due, and plunking is a blast. I have a ton of eggs and plenty of wiggle warts!!!

Effective but a huge frickin pain in the ass. I switched out for a dick nite last year, less tangles but still nails fish.

I'm on the injured list so plunking is about all I'll be doing this steelhead season. Crutching around a gravel bar will be an experience.

NOT when ya have a hot chick like you got,why would ya wanna leave the house to go get drunk and plunk with a sauage fest, when ya can stay home and get drunk and plunk your lure all day & night.Just sayin.............Good luck,
SZ

Maybe if there was some strippers in the plunkin shack to keep ya entertained between the bell's ringing.

She likes to fish she just got her 1st salmon (chum) last Saturday on the float. She liked being on the front on the Pontoon fishing and drinking beer. I told her about plunkin how you sit around a fire and drink and that theres nothing really to it she wants to try it out. just need to get her some better rain gear or waders ...Xmas is around the corner.

Don't forget...some rivers have "late Coho".....these fish can be 20+ pounds, and are in good shape.....

Big blue spin glows.......was the hot ticket when plunking was a high priority in my fishing time. Kwik Fish or Mag. Warts could be a winner...........

Hope the rivers drop fast..................

High water.....fish close to bank..........as water drops, can cast further out.....put rod in a good rod holder, hang bell on the rod.......relax, wait for the "ding, ding, ding"......Good luck..........

I will be sitting by the fire drinking Whiskey all weekend waiting to hear the bell. Running small kwikies and spin n glows. Its a nice change to sit on my butt and fish instead of wading miles of river.
