looking to launch at Lewis st and go up river. Is the right side still the best way to start off or the new channel on the left ?

Thanks

New channel has underwater braids so keep a keen eye on the water flow. It is a good option in the right water depth. The right channel is easy. Just beware when coming down river. Just above the bridge is a tree that you sometimes don't see till the last second. It sticks up out of the water and is pointed upstream I believe.

got onto a couple big schools of chum on the left side up around the mouth of the wallace a while ago, haven't got over to the right side due to a lack of floating transport and willingness to walk.
