KENT: Angling experts offer tips on hot spots to try

Tom Nelson of Salmon University will be joined by anglers Nelson Goodsell, Kelly Morrison, Paul Marander and Mark Gavin to give a program Wednesday on hot spots for summer’s salmon fishing.

Goodsell will offer tips on North Sound locations, while Morrison will speak on the most popular and effective lures for this summer’s fishing. Marander will talk about Bush Point, Lagoon Point and areas around Port Townsend. Gavin will share his expertise on Barkley Sound, and Nelson will cover fishing Vancouver Island.

They will be speaking at the South King County Puget Sound Anglers meeting. The doors open at 6 p.m. with the meeting at 7 p.m., at IBEW Local 46 Auditorium, 19802 62nd Ave. S., Kent.

The public is welcome.
