I really appreciated the advice on fiberglass work and now I could use the same for welding. I have a post on a hard top with a cracked seam. Can anyone recommend someone in the greater Port Ludlow-Port Townsend area? Should be a super quick job. Boat can be trailered where needed.

Peter's Marine - Port Townsend. Did a great job on a radar arch for me.

With bushbear's recommendation you probably don't need to search further but the reference to the Port Townsend still stands. Got to be more than one welder there with all of the boat work.

And the question arises as to how your fiberglass/transom rebuild is progressing?

It looks like I'm going to be using Pacific Fiberglass in Seattle. They seem to have the most reasonable price. Now I just need to get the boat over there...

Well, my comment here is "is the time necessary to get boat to Seattle, drop it off, then go back and pick it up after the work is done" or to pay a little more and be a short distance from home" ????

My example...had a custom built boat, found a crack in a weld, called builder.....he said bring it in, fix for free.....only problem was it would entail a drive to Grants Pass, went to local welding shop--got the work done, $50.00 cash.

Good luck, what ever you choose to do, its your money and your time....
