Looked again and still Chehalis and Hump are the only not showing 2022. All I know of his what the model showed and posted. Maybe somebody knows more but nothing I have seen in writing.

I checked a few times recently on the WDFW website and only found old info.

Then I googled the "Tribes name" 2022 Netting Schedule and got results.

Typed the following:

Quinault tribal 2022 Humptulips and Chehalis Gill Net schedule

Results were SOME schedules were there for 2022 BUT NOT the Humptulips or the normal Chehalis netting areas......

Had a video that should help some people understand tribal Salmon culture......

Let the "co-manager", tribal netting schedule beginning game, start.

For me its no big deal, I've fished the Chehalis for over 40 years....MANY years the QIN and NT nets were in 7 days a week....I just spent my time fishing jacks.

I retired in 1997, so now I can salmon fish 7 days a week, and do quite often. Neighbors like it when I'm in a fish catching mode or a fish smoking mode.....I try to share.

Tough call for persons that work a 5 day schedule and have to fish behind a "4/3" netting schedule and this year a 2 fish limit, H or W, for much of the season. I predict the boat launches will be jammed, the fishing waters will have lots of boats AND bank spots will be crowded....2 fish limit, H or W, will do that.

When I was doing the PDR's years back the documents showed they did not sign the formal agreement to way late even after agreement was reached between state and QIN. I imagine it is about process and poking each other in the eyes more than anything of nefarious nature.

Perhaps the Tribe has "options" they are still considering. I wouldn't be too surprised to learn that they, like me, are watching the extended forecast for signs of the first decent rain before they commit to which weeks they want.

I would expect they would want to start as soon as possible, because that gives them the best chance of getting to fish over the fish that flush in and out with the tides and build numbers until the first decent rain comes. If the rain comes before they go in, they will miss out on a lot of those fish. Good news for trib fishing bankies like me; not so much for the commercials and downriver recs.

My pipe dream is that it stays pretty dry until 3 days before the Tribe sets nets (whenever that is), so the downriver crowd gets a good shot at good fishing, but some fish move into the tribs before the nets go in. We'll get something else; let's just hope everyone gets a fair chance to fish over what should be good numbers before the big blowouts start.

Good points all and I have been following the extended forecast and it is staying with dry ( mostly ) until the very end of Sept. Light / showers until mid Oct with the last two weeks of Oct. and Nov. just plain wet.

The one thing that has stayed the same is our dry summer will more or less continue but when the rains start it going to be cold rains then dry then cold rain. Rainy weather will come out of the N. Pacific.
