I'm always inspired seeing all of your successful trips on with your kids. I thought I'd share mine.

A friend was nice enough to invite my two year old (turned 2 in April) and I out on the water. It was a perfect scenario where he'd pick me up at the dock late in the morning, and we only fished for a few hours so my daughter didn't get bored. It also allowed me to focus on ensuring she had a good time and not worry about running a boat.

The whole drive down, she kept saying, "We go on boat in water." She had a ball wandering around the boat, snacking, and playing with the gear. The next trip will be sooner than later. She sees my boat in the driveway and asks, "We go fishing daddy?"

Leave the driver's seat unattended while on anchor, and she was in it fast.

I thought for sure we'd get one when she climbed up and held on saying, "This one daddy's."
