Here's what typically happens when I tie on a buzzbomb.

I tie on the hook, then remember you have to put the lure and bumper on the line first. So I cut off the hook and do it right the second time.

That's not to say the same mistakes can't be repeated when I change colors/weights.

And the bumper doesn't easily come out of the tackle box with my fat fingers. And then it gets dropped in the sand/gravel or between the floor and hull of the boat, never to be seen again.

I'm thinking of tying them on a short section of mono with a duolock. But what is the best length, both for fishing and to fit easily in the tackle box?

Or is there a better way to deal with these things?
