According to the guy who filmed it, the shark snapped it off. He didn't mention if it head butted it while it was buried in the sand or broke it off on the boat chine.
It always gets interesting when a big shark shows up while you're wading the flats. I had a extra large mofo swimming around me a few years ago in the Turks & Caicos.

Good video. Kind of looks like the pole may have been planted in the sand when that shark hit it. I think it wise to stay in the boat when a big shark is around.

That's some cool vid.

Watched one a while back can't remember where, but it featured a lemon shark tracking in @ mach 2 & blowing up a fly hooked smallish tarpon on some flats.

Love to watch nature in action, as long as I'm in a safe place of course.....
