I hit an old haunt that I used to fish a lot in my younger years this weekend.
They put browns in a few years ago but I hadn't tried for them since they were planted. The fish are getting to be nice size, with the largest I've heard of being taken so far is 23".
Managed a few fish to hand. Best action came on a pink lady chironomid pupa fished on a 22' leader in 20' of water.
The browns are rather bright versus the usual golden yellow tones of other lake browns i caught in the past.

Rental boat, usually not my thing.
Still working on the trout for another few weeks. Start in on the ditch pickles next month. Need some warm days full moon and some horny bass and it will be on.

Looking at getting a Redington Predator 7' 10" 8 wt and a shirt with lots of patches on it so I'll be B.A.S.S., FLW & NASCAR tournament legal......

this may be a stupid question, but are Browns good eating? never have eaten one before...dont really plan on it, just curious is all...
