Hey guys, Im heading up the canal somewhere on Friday. Any SRC action you guys are willing to give up? Other salt options? No lakes! Not bringing a boat and dont want to waste my time with lakes anymore. PM if you are more comfortable. Any bug suggestions would be great. I have some minnows and such, some buggers and some tubes. Anything else? Any possibilities on pinks or coho?

Lots of parks with public access on the canal. It really depends on what part of the canal you are going to be on.
Cutts should be munching chum fry heavily now that most have dropped back down to the salt after spawning. The Hoodsport hatchery releases millions of chum fry. Look for working fish busting fry.
Google Chum Baby for a good imitation of the fry.

Banned user failed to mention that you need to wade out really, really, deep, because you cant find cutthroat in water that is less than 10' deep...

You would'nt want to fish anywhere near the mouths of any of the many streams or rivers flowing into the HC. Very unproductive. Oops Banned User already mentioned that. Great disinformation campaign guys.

Since the original poster mentioned he wasn't bringing a boat, where else besides the parks or public access areas like Eagle Creek would you recommend that he fish?
Don't recall anyone mentioning "great" access either.

BU need any help eating your 80 shrimp? I sorta miss that fishery. Always boiled some for breakfast on the boat after the first pull. Best breakfast ever. Just can't justify the cost anymore when I can buy a bag full from a tribal member for about 20 bucks. The PS was plugged full of boats Sat also.
