Last I heard from cowlitzfisherman it was open and was going to stay open. He is the man with the info on this area. There was also a map he posted.

Ray Croswell, from WDFW made a promise to me personally, that by October, he would have the pubic fishing access signs posted, and a separate new gated area for public to make their entry at the gravel pits entrance by the end of October! mad

So much for WDFW integrity and their employees! Apparently, Ray has been on vacation for most of October, and part of November. Bad excuse again!!
mad mad

So what do we do now? I suggest that we push the issue up a notch! If you guys really want your public access, and want it now, then e-mail your concerns to Ray Croswell at Croswell@dfw.wa.gov. Also email a copy to your local legislator

Moreover, e-mail a copy of your complaint to Ray's boss at vantulv@dfw.wa.gov with the same massage. Its way past the time for WDFW to get off there fat butts and do what they are being paid to do!

I will follow up this issue when I hear what you folks want to do. Remember, "You can lead the horse to the water, but you can't make him drink it!!" I will push this issue to the very top, if you will help!

I think that if Mr. Croswell and his boss came to work one morning and had 50 emails about this issue sitting in his inbox it just might prompt a little action.. (I would hope!)

Would it be a good idea to focus our emails on a few key issues??? So we are all asking for the exact same thing..??? That way there can be no confusion for them... Just a thought..

What does everone think??

Perhaps this subjcjet is worth a new thread??

The future of our fishing in our state will depend on access, access, access, and ACCESS. eek eek

If this issue dies, then we are the ones who should be held responsible for our lost! mad

This issue will, and should be number one for every member on this board. laugh If members don't write, or care enough to write and voice there thoughts and opinions to WDFW, then we have no one to blame other then ourselves! confused

Cowfish, so has the access been closed by the Wallaces again? I thought that issue was solved and you could access through the easement on the map you posted, have things changed? I'll shot off an e mail to WDFW like you suggested.

Cowfish,
I sent a message to both the addresses you posted and received an undeliverable response back from Croswell@dfw.wa.gov is this the correct address???

It does seem that the message did go thru to his boss...

Sorry for the wronge email address for Ray Croswell. His email number is croswrcc@dfw.wa.gov

I will try to get Mr. Lee Van Tussenbrook's email for you also. Lee is Ray Croswell's boss. Sorry for the wrong address, it must be the pro-cure!
