Every time I return to the BB, the "New Posts Since Last Visit" icon is always lit up, even when there have not been new posts.

Anyone else noticing this?

Anything I can do to fix this? I couldn't find the Accept Cookies option to make sure it was selected but I was not having this problem untill the new version.

Hey Ryan, the only thing I know what to do with cookies is eat them. And I do 'accept cookies'. Until I learn more about the programing here (should only take a few years ) you'll need to e-mail Bob about it - thanks.

If you are using IE, follow these steps to make sure you are accepting cookies:

Go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options
Then select the Security tab in the window that just opened.
Click on the icon that say "Trusted sites".
Now click the button that says "sites".
Enter www.piscatorialpursuits.com into the text box that says "Add this web site to the zone" and then click "Ok".
Make sure the slider in the "Security for this zone" area of the window is set to LOW.
Click "Ok" and you are done.

This will enable cookies on this site only. If you want to enable them for the entire internet, I can give you the steps for that as well.

Still not working.

I remember the old board has a question in your prefences that asked if you wanted to accept cookies from this site. I havent been able to find that question for this board.

One more thing you might want to try:

Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom Level...under the listings, click "Enable" for stored and per-session Cookies if they aren't already. Close all the windows and your browser.

Then left click on Start and click "Explore"...click "Temporary Internet Files", hit CNTL+A to select all, and hit Delete (the "index" data file will remain). This should delete all the cookies in your cache. Also go to "Cookies" in Explorer and delete all those if any remain. It should give you a fresh run at the board.

I've run into the same thing with the new board. One solution that I've found is to exit the browser and then open a new browser window. This will make the posts you haven't read be yellow and the rest will be clear.
