After spending $195.00 at the F&G I have come to the conclusion that this will probably be the last year that I purchase any sort of recreational license.
I am curious what others think..

The $195.00 covers my big game, and fishing combo, & the ol' ladies deer and shellfish.

The only extra I bought was my second bear tag.

Hey, someone has to pay for his or her 4-day workweeks, and when the state employees and workers go strike! Who's going to pay for their new computers, if not you? Who will give them their pay raises, if not you? Maybe you're on to something!

i think the state has already solved there own problem and don"t even know it, all non essential employes went on strike which goes to shoe they are over staffed and don't need them any ways, fire the ones on strike and give the others a raise plain and simple

I am also considering not buying a freshwater license anymore. I no longer buy a saltwater license in washington. It really isn't worth it. The amount of money generated by sportsmen is astounding, yet we are fed scraps. I will have to see what happens this year.

Wow! 195.00 on licenses and tags? That is steep. As for me, I hate these outragous prices as much as the next guy but much like a heroin addict, I need my fix and will pay whatever price necessary to get it. I don't like it, but the state has me by the balls and they know it. Go figure.

Boo Hoo,

I'ld pay 4-500$ and not blink an eye if it would weed out some of the yahoos out there.

new loomis rod 325$
new ambassador reel 75$
7wt dt flyline 65$

20+ fish day on the hump = priceless

I say jack the price up! I like to watch little girls cry!

Well if it came down to it, I would pay just about any price to fish. To "fish" is the key here, since I haven't purposely killed a fish in over 5 years.

I couldn't imagine not fishing. I do not fish for the meat. I would like the WDFW and other management powers to be, to recognize that us sportsmen are responsible for the majority of monies in licenses, tackle, guide cost, hotels etc, and overall monies back into washington communities and families. When majority of runs are given to commercial and/or tribes, who don't give back as much, it gets me a little irked. Sometimes I think if enough sportsmen didn't buy a license for a year or so, the state would wake up, and start catering to our requests. I am sorry if it seems like complaining/whining.

Its a sad thing that it costs so much but I enjoy it too much to quit. I buy my licences seperate, fishing then hunting so it doesn't hurt the pocket book as much. Also I'll add that a friend of mine went fishing on the yak on sat. He took his car over instead of his truck. He was going to tape his access sticker to the inside window so he could later put it on his truck, but he forgot to do so. A nice $66.00 ticket was waiting for him when he got back. He is pisssooffff. I think that is a little much for that kind of ticket. A parking ticket in downtown Seattle is only $20.00!!!! mad
