I only use sardines and I precut them (along with a slice down the middle) to go around the middle hook. I mix 2 oz. sardine oil, 1 oz. shrimp, and a few drops of anise. I make sure they marinate at least 12 hrs. This helped me put some springers in the box. Give this a try!

Hey BD, good to have ya posting! That is a great wrap enhancer you have. Another good one is to soak sardine and herring filets in redish egg juice from the chem curing process. I actually put the sardine filets right into some of the batches of eggs I cure during the fall salmon season and that both enhances the eggs for fishing and filets for wrapping Kwikfish. ... These proven effective Kwikfish bait filet wraps for fall chinook fishing has really been nailing springers this year! Particularly on the Columbia, but they have always been a good alternative in the Willamette to herring or prawns. The K-14's are good up the tribs too. Silver with some chartruse seems to be the 'go to' color pattern this year - but lots of good coor work great.
