I was just reading the latest WA/OR Game & Fish mag and read about the steelhead summer timings for SW washington and the Skykomish and Snoqualmie as being June and July.

Now I have previously been a NF Stilly summer run guy, and I would have thought that the runs started in July and August and the fishing was good through September.

When does the NF Stilly run start up? Is it also a June run, or am I correct in sticking with July and August?

Typically the hatchery summers start showing as early as mid-April or May with the peak of the run arriving in late June. Most if not all hatchery summer run programs in Wa. are Skamania stock fish and will reflect similar timings.
Water conditions will dictate your success as the river flow fluctuates between high spring run-off and summer low flows. Try to catch the streams on the drop in June for best success. A few cool, overcast days days following some hot, sunny days will stabilize, then reduce, flows and thats the time to "go get 'em" Good Luck!

You got that right E-Dog. We're usually off the water by first light though so we don't bother anyone.
BTW, rumor has it that no two year hatchery fish will be returning to the NF this year(thanks WDFW!) so it might be slim pickins.
