I took my two boys out for a day on the Canal yesterday. It was my 2 year old's first trip on the "white boat", my oldest's name for our Seaswirl. He screamed when I put the lifejacket on, and increased his volume when I placed him in the bow to get in the boat as we launched. Once we got underway and on a plane, he was very happy to be skimming across the water at 45 mph.

We went up to Sund point to look for pinks, and we found a few small schools in the cove immediately south of the point, but couldn't get any to bite. The boys loved looking at the schools of fish as they swam in about 5 feet of water. The guy next to us and his son had caught 3, but they said that the run was pretty much over. The fish didn't look as bright as the pinks we caught (notice proper spelling of this word smile ) up at Sekiu last weekend. Threw the usual buzzbomb assortment, but had no takers, so after an hour of this we trolled back to the launch.

Saw one guy with a nice silver, about 7lbs, that was caught in the morning outside of the hatchery zone.

Stopped by the fish guy's place by the gas station to buy some fish, 2 kings and 4 silvers (all wild!) and some goeducks, so we wouldn't go home fishless.

My two year old kept on asking "Whas dat daddy?" the whole time we were on the boat, and he and his brother had a great time looking for jellyfish!

By the way, I was just kidding about buying fish from the indigenous people. smile Just wanted to see if anyone got their panties in a wad.

Take care, Andy

So Mark,

Do those Eagle breasts taste like chicken? My oldest, Hunter, would probably get over eating dolphin after a few years of instensive therapy, being as "Flipper" is one of his favorite movies. But hey, I bet that dolphin is great eatin', so what the heck, sign me up for three freezer packs of each! smile smile smile
