Can anybody give me some advice on boat launches. I need directions to a couple and if there are fish being caught from that area. also what are the best techniques to use for humps in a boat. Thanks

Sturza, the high bridge launch behind the Monroe honor farm is pretty easy to find, what direction will you be coming from? With the water real low, there is a bit of a tricky spot to get through (the stump hole), if you are comfortable maneuvering your boat it is easy to get through. I have a couple of friend with sleds that won't run it when it is low. I don't have any problems getting through it though. E-mail me and I will give you some directions to it.

There is a beat-up launch in Snohomish just past the downtown area. It's on Maple st. I believe. The parking lot is small, and is usually full. If you do manage to get your boat launched, motor around until you see rolling fish, then anchor up, and cast small spoons.

Just a word of warning from something I overheard...there were some guys on the river on Sunday complaining that they couldn't get their rigs far enough into the water at low tide to get their boats trailered. Don't know if that's across the board, for big boats only, or what.

Thanks for the info guys. But we are actually not going to take the boat out. We don't have enough time that day so we'll fish from the bank. Thanks again.

The last two or three concrete slabs are completely destroyed on the launch at Snohomish. If you try to launch or retrive a deep v boat at low tide you are going to have trouble.

fd, I have a 19' sled. The stump hole can be nasty if you don't know how to get through it. Most of the time you can wing it and be alright but with the water so low if you have not been through it enough to be familiar with it, probably a bad idea. If you handle your boat well and can read the water, not a problem. Perhaps I am a little over cautious, I know what my first trip through the stump hole was like.

Good luck,
