Just fyi.....I have always kept a fishing log of some kind for recording each trip. I have several notebooks, etc. archived around the house that are full. If the house ever catches on fire, these are the first to go out with me. Then my kids - jk.
Anyway, had "work" buy me one of those handheld pocket electronic organizers recently. Needed it bad for work.....It is the Visor Deluxe although there are all kinds of brands out there. Anyway, it is the handiest gadget I have for recording my fishing trips. You can set it up to record all the info ya want such as tides, weather, where, when, etc. Then ya can download it on your PC. Plug your data into MSExcel after a few trips and look forward to graphing some of the info for kicks. It cost about $250 but the "Fun-payback" is well worth it. Plus ya can fill in the info anywhere (Waiting for dinner at the restaurant, sitting in some boring meeting, etc.) and don't have to haul around notebooks, etc. Beats the laptop all to heck.
