Hit the Cable Hole on the Snoqualmie at first daylight, worked my way up through the eddy all the way up to the Spruce Hole by the time I left at 3:00pm. Hooked and lost one, and so no others hooked.

Jacob,

Haven't fished the Snoq much, can you recommend a setup, color, leader length, etc.?

Use a white or orange jig on about a 3 foot leader under a float. I've been fishing mine right off the bottom but have seen people catch fish out of deeper holes with jigs only 4 feet down.

Thanks for the info....I have a great float rod, GL3 1263 with Curado reel, but admittedly haven't put much time into floating jigs. On the jigs, do you use solid colors, or do dual colored jigs work as well?

The only dual color jig I've caught fish on is pink/green. Other people have told me that black/purple and purple/pink work, but I haven't caught any yet, although I haven't used those colors as much either.

I've been told that the black/purple is a better summer jig....Everyone I have seen on the Sky uses the pink/white combo.

Red/red, red/pink, pink/pink, pink/white and peach/white have been good colors for me this winter on jigs for winters. Tip jig with small piece of bait. bobber down!

I've been dipping the heads of my jigs in salmon egg flavored smelly jelly. So far so good. Landed a bright 6 pound hen on the Snoq today. Fought really well for its size.

In clear water, I've seen people catch them in the Snoq this winter.
