My Dad called me up, found an old box up in the attic of mine. Had a bunch of stuff in it from around the time I graduated (mostly late 80's stuff). Found in their some old lures and boxes of corkies. But found some old STS mags (they actually had real paper, not the shiny stuff they have now). Some of the articles talked about possibly making a mandate on releasing wild steelhead. Kinda fun to see what came true with articles and what didn't. Also found some old WA fishing regs. (Remember when they would post regs for 2 years at a time?????). I found something in the 88-90 regs for WA that would benefit all on this board. It pertains to all who fish in one way or another.
"This is reprinted exactly like it is in the regs"
RIVER MANNERS
-There's room for both boat and bank anglers on most Washington river, IF everyone makes an effort to be considerate.
-BOATERS: Don't anchor in, fish through or row over water that a bank angler is fishing or playing a fish; pass behind wading anglers if possible.
-BANK ANGLERS: Show boaters the same courtesy you would want them to show you; don't cast across a boater's line or crowd in below him so that he can't move downstream.

I fealt these are still good rules. I realize they're rarely followed, but if everyone acted this way it would be more fun to fish.

PS, man, I miss these old style regs. They're SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier to read and follow.......
