curt, I went below Bonneville last Friday after reading about the 1 in 3.5 angler success, that was a real stretch, more like 1 in 400 that day. Anyhow, the current is very fast so bring a big stick(11' heavy surf rod is what I used) heavy line (20# minimum) and 8-10oz lead pyramids or railroad spikes(budget weights). Rig up a heavy 3-4'leader with double sliding #4&#5 hooks, tye on a dyed prawn(purple) w/ magic thread, slide on a large spin n' glow above 2 or three beads/corkies, ARE YOU STILL TRACKING CURT? use lighter line for attaching your weight(12#) above a large barrel swivel on a slider(better than three way swivels)with a bead as a bumper. Your weight will break off with a strike (from big fish) or when your ready to reel in from boredom. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the most important part, squirt entire rig down with stinky shrimp oil or secret scent before launching! Fish!!! On!!!
