I have read that the hooks on a wiggle wart should be removed, and a size four bead chain swivel should be attached to the belly eye split ring, with a size three treble.

What sort of hook setup should be applied to the Mag Wart? I have took off the hooks, kept a split ring on the belly, then a size four bead chain swivel, two split rings, then a size two treble. This seems to keep the hook in the zone. Does this sound right? What are your hook modifications?

I have been told by those who know better than myself, mainly Sauk, that your setup is exactly right with the exception of the hook size. I am currently using a 1/0 treble with this same setup. A size 2 is a bit small for a lure that large. Good luck!!

Kore, What has worked for my self and twenty
of my fishin buddies is to remove the small
low rent low budget cheap dull factory hooks
and replace them with size 1,1/0 or 2/0 gammi
trebles what ever size that you prefere. What
I do is put a size 1 on the front and a 2/0
on the back.Good luck,

Thanks for the replies, I think I will try a bigger treble. I use size twos on my smaller plugs, but a mag wart is quite a bit bigger. smile
