I am having problems with our new cable net e-mail. Some of the mail I have sent hasn't arrived where I sent it, and I have not received some mail guys told me they sent . I tried my AOL to e-mail myself at the AT&T addy and it didn't get thru. Yet som do. Whazzup with that BS?!? If I don't answer an e-mail you sent try my AOL address. Was going to cancel it at the end of May but I might keep it a little longer as a backup. Anyone with cable net service have similar probs?

RT, I gave up on my @home addresses, I remember receiving emails that were sent 3 weeks prior to receiving them . I only use my hotmail and my internet site addresses and it works fine, even though I still use @home the other addresses work just great. i just added all of my email accounts to my email server and got rid of all of the @home accounts. Once you realize how fast cable is, it's hard to go back to dial up.

I had some time that it was down, I think either Wed or Thurs. morning for a few hours.
I do not share the same experience with Salmontackler as mine has allways worked very well.

I experienced the same when I first started out with @home. Two things seemed to cause the problem, one when they are expanding into an area things seem to get screwed up and connections are down from time to time. Second, the settings were not correct on our computer when it was installed ( it being ethernet and @home service). After we got the settings fixed I have not had any problems. give customer service a call explain your problem and they should be able to walk you through to check the settings.

One note, if you have @home you should consider a home pc firewall such as zone alarm, because when your pc is on you are connected to the internet.
