Im looking for advice on a new sonar/GPS combo. Im looking at the Eagle/Lowrance units that have maping capability. Anybody have any experience with these? Any others I should look at?
Thanks
Brandon

Look at the Simrad CE32 color combo DGPS Chart/dual freq sounder, uses C-Map chart cartridges or the B&W version for less bucks. Outstanding gear, kind of spendy, you get what you pay for though . . .

Si-tex has a few that fit the bill and Furuno also has models that work well. They are both color screens, and cost is prohibitive for a fish finder but they are really nice units.

Just my 2 cents on the topic. I currently have a Sonar(depth finder)Loran combo and when it works, great but if I do it over I will go with seperate units. My Loran works great but am considering one of the new handheld GPS with the new WAAS system, they are supposed to be as accurate as the Loran w/o signal loss. Just remember, you get what you pay for, buy junk and you get junk. Lowrance has great products. Check with West Marine reps for good advise on quality etc. There does not seem to be much in discounting on these items by Wal-Mart, Cabelas etc. Mostly just on old models closing them out.

I just got a Bottom Line Tournament HR. It's a great unit that a person can add a GPS module to. The screen is huge and flat, so it doesn't take up a bunch of room in the boat. It isn't color, but the display is crystal clear. I have also heard that their product support is great. I got mine from Cabela's. Not many places carry them, but it's worth the search.
