My family and three others are headed for Pacific Beach this weekend. I won't have any time to get over to the Hump, but I can get down to the beach for some surf fishing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on gear to bring? Leader set up, weight sizes, etc. I think that I may go after surf perch, but I will also bring along some buzzbombs as well in case I find a place where there is some accessable deep water. Primary rod is an 8.5' Fenwick capable of handling any fish including kings with a spincast reel.

Your help is appreciated. I have to wait until next weekend before I can go after Sekiu and Neah bay salmon.

Andy

There was some talk about this over at I-fish a couple of weeks ago. Try the search over there.
