Hey Guys I have a Hodgman wading Jacket but its time for a new one I have been looking on the net and it seems that all of the new ones don't have enough pockets like the one I have now has 27 and I could get away with only 20 but being a bank fisherman I need something waterproof and big enough that it will hold all my tackle.
Thanks

I use a Filson wading jacket but it fits over the top of my vest. Are you using your jacket for a vest? I love me Filson for cold weather but you do sweat pretty bad if your doing a lot of walking when it's warm. That things is really tough material and has lasted alot longer than alot of my other jackets. I tend to rip the Gore-Tex ones.
Just my .02

Good Rain coat/wade jackets are the Military Issue Gortex parkas. You can pick a used one up at a gun show or a surplus store for under a $75.00. I have two and they never leek. I fish out on the rain capitol so that has to say somthin. They are light and they breath well. You can also pick them up new on Ebay for a $100.00 or so.

You're going to have a tough time finding something like that I think. I think I would hate having to switch everything from salmon to steelhead to trout ect....I just have several vests that I keep loaded up for whatever and then my rainjacket is always a sure thing wink

C1,

I have a Helly-Hanson fishing jacket. It has lots of pockets, a folding hood, and is waist length so it doesn't get wet when wading. So far it's been 100% waterproof.

My favorite feature on it is velcro secured neoprene wrists inside the jacket sleeves. If I put my hand in the water it doesn't go up my sleeve.

Two downsides: I don't know where to pick one up, but that shouldn't be too hard to find out; I think it's really pricey, somewhere near $300. I'm not too sure since I got it as a gift.

Fish on...

I purchased a "Solitude" wader jacket 2 years ago, it is really nice. It has a "Entrant" breathable membrane, the same as the Dan Bailey waders.
