Heard a rumor at work today that the Satsop and Nooch will be closed to all sleds in the near future. Is this credible or wishfull thinking?????

It is a rumor, I think. I think that no sleds should go above black creek. Don't get me wrong I have run into many curtious sleds (mainly small ones) and I have also ran into some jerks.

In my perfect world there would be no sleds above the forks on the Satsop. In all fairness..the few that I have come into contact with lately have been very kind and curtious. Thanks!

Here's the jist of what I read in a regulation change proposal - no sleds above the water diversion dam (just above Black Creek) on the Nooch and no sleds above Cook Creek on the Sop. This seems reasonable to me - at most fishable levels these rivers are too tight to accomodate everyone anyway.

I would be ok with what spawnout said it gives both types of boats a fair amount of river.

i was told that their are a select group of guys trying to put a motor and size ban on the wynoochee and satsop rivers.the hp rating would be 40hp.and the size of the boat 15.9ft.i was also told that the wdfw could not enforce this issue,so they were taking this matter to the state and/or county for proposal.this is all river talk from other fisherman here in grays harbor county. so far i havn't seen anything in writing on this matter, but was also told their was going to be a meeting in may to resolve this issue.in my opinion this is not within reason and i don't see how this would be enforced.if anybody has heard this rumor or knows anything about it i would like to know the facts regarding this.i believe if you ban one,ban them all.scott
