hey whats up everybody, I was wondering if any of you guys have seen a recent decline in loomis rod quality in the past couple of years. I mean i look at my old loomis rods and they had wood insert handles and sicti guides i think they are called.Those were quality rods,does anybody have any suggestions on new rods to get since loomis is out of the blank business?

Look for a larger selection of Steelhead/Salmon rods from Loomis for next season. I recently went to a meeting with the Loomis guys and a number of guides and tackle shop buyers, they were looking for new ideas for their selection of rods. There should be some hot new rods soon. I know they use Fuji guides on their rods and the blank exposed reel seats in my opinion are alot nicer then the wood reel seats were.
