Just to let you all know that there are two new tackle shops in Neah Bay. Big salmon has been rebuilt and under new management-a local guy. They can handle moorage for you. The other shop is called Neah Bay Charter & Tackle Co. and they can set you up with the top charters out here. Roger and Patsy Bain own Neah Bay Charters& Tackle and they are really nice folk. Phone for Neah Bay Charter & Tackle is 360 645 3222. Both shops should be open April 1. Don't have # for Big Salmon.

Baitslinger, Do you know if there is a charter boat out of Neah Bay Charters called the
"Cookie Cutter"? Some years back I went out on that boat and had a great day. 2 Halibut and some silvers on the Canadian side. The boat was a 26 ft Tolly craft. Brandy was the skipper.

I was just wondering if that boat was still around.

The "cookie cutter" has been replaced by a 40' footer. Brandy was not the skipper, but the deckhand. And a fine one at that, along with a dynamite 'Neah Bay butt'. Her mom Rhonda was the skip. Rhonda got out of the business a few years ago, but still fishes often and is very good at it. Fond memories of those days.....

Thanks Backlash!

Now I know why I remember Brandy! Blonde hair, halter top and short shorts! Oh Ya! I don't think my wife cared too much for her though! Anyway, I remember how impressed I was with
the way Rhonda was so organized . We limited on halibut out at Swiftsure and then went to Bam
field area and got our silvers.
She had a log book with entries from everyday of the year with the Loran readings. That's how she set us up when we were dropping our rigs for the Halibut.
I also remember her heading out in some really nasty weather when other boats larger were turning back. Real gutsy Gal. I liked that.
Sure wish she was still guiding . Like you said, "Great memories"!
